Hey, I’m no spring chicken, but I have been a woman in tech for 30 years.  I do my best to post often, but please remember that neither of my band mates are even on social media much less know what “a post” is but hey, they can play a mean guitar…so I attempt to do the rest.  Have mercy on me, please. I’m doing the best I can with what I have been given.  Marc still calls it “The Facebook.”  LOL!

Music is HARD!  It takes hundreds to thousands of hours of practice and rehearsals over a lifetime.  Social media, website updates, sound & video production, booking gigs, and all the other things that come along with being in a band can take up to a dozen or more hours a week.  That does not include packing up a full drum set, PA system, microphones, cables, guitars, stands, schlepping all this stuff out of the house, into a venue, setting it all up, playing a 2-3 hour show, and then packing it all back up, schlepping it back home, and unloading it all.  I’m not complaining…being in a band was on my bucket list and MAN AM I CRUSHING THAT LIST! 

We are growing as musicians and as The Kelly Jax Band with every practice (individual), every rehearsal (as a group), every open mic, every musician we meet – those playing now and those who used to be in a band back in the day.  We love meeting each and every one of you!  We love meeting new people, patrons at our shows, passersby peeps, and our new “die hard” fans!
