First Song Released

I am currently working on my first album titled CHARMED. My first song, also named “Charmed” was just released, and I am beyond excited to share it with you! Charmed

Charmed was originally written for my cat, Piper who was named after my favorite character in the hit TV show Charmed. Piper passed away in the Spring of 2020, and since that time, we inherited a new cat named Mushroom. Mushroom is a true outdoors-man and loves hanging out in our backyard with us (even on his “stinking harness” and leash which he hates but must wear to protect the local wildlife). He stands in for Piper in the video clips throughout the music video. Thank you to Mushroom for being a great stunt double!

I recorded this song playing each part myself with the exception of the electric guitar solo which my husband Marc Jaxheimer contributed (thanks again, honey)! I was able to mix my own tracks to produce a unique sound that falls somewhere between alternative and reggae.

Also new to me was creating my first music video. All clips were recorded on my property with a Canon camera and my iPhone. I was able to apply transitions and effects that make it interesting to watch while getting the story that our cats live Charmed lives!
