Third Song Released

I am currently working on my first album titled CHARMED. My third song First Date is now available, and I am super thankful for the help of Katie Werner and Frankie Russell for starring in the music video! First Date

First Date was written about 11 years ago. I had been online dating for years. This was not the first date with my husband, but for some reason the morning after this particular first date, I woke up and this song poured out of me.

I enjoyed producing this song. Having learned more about the recording software, I was able to be more creative. The ability to add an orchestra behind the guitar and vocals including strings, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and tuba really rounded out the sound. First Date is a simple song, but I love the counter melodies of the backup instruments.

The music video was again filmed with my Nikon camera and iPhone. Katie and Frankie were a pleasure to work with, took direction well, and seemed to have fun! I would hire them again without question. The video was cropped to look like a feature film and tells the story of the song. There is also a cameo of Mushroom the cat if you watch it to the end!
